In La Esse we bring together diverse expertise and thrive on understanding the nuances.

We focus on people, communities, and social phenomena. We study the contexts in which we operate, prioritizing the needs, hopes, and lives of individuals, and promoting a participatory, conscious, and concrete change.
Our experience on the field, our network of relationships, and our pursuit of innovation are the key elements of our daily work. In our interventions, we promote the empowerment of individuals and groups as agents driving change.

We take care and work with minors and youth through educational projects both in and out of school. We are engaged in the promotion of gender equality, in the fostering of work-life balance, and in combating gender violence. We are committed to projects dedicated to the inclusion of migrants and fragile adults. We also promote empowerment through active labor policies for young people and adults. We share our history and expertise by providing training and consulting services to organizations and institutions.

Our Methodology

Our working method adapts to different contexts. We involve individuals, groups, and communities in the process to generate shared change. We work in teams, which is a space for growth and development of ideas. We allow ourselves to combine diverse approaches and follow innovative paths. Every situation requires stratified perspectives and interpretations. We implement complex actions, each time tailored to the specific context and emerging needs.

Our approach is multidisciplinary, but our projects are always inspired by core principles:

  1. There are no pre-packaged solutions. Solutions are built together, starting from listening to those who live the specific situations and through the connections between people.

  2. Designing and evaluating together means acting, learning, and changing, and it is the only way to manage complex realities.

  3. Relationships between people and living contexts are precious assets to be valued, promoted, and supported, not resources to be consumed.
